Reviving Our Republic

According to Lord Tytler, a Scottish Historian, the average age of the world’s democracies is around 200 years. After two hundred years, the nations collapse due to various economic policies and are followed by a dictatorship. Lord Tytler identified

“Eight Stages of a Democracy”, from beginning to end.

The eight stages of a democracy go;

from bondage to spiritual faith;

from spiritual faith to great courage;

from courage to liberty;

from liberty to abundance;

from abundance to complacency;

from complacency to apathy;

from apathy to dependence,

and finally from dependence back to bondage.

Life and our universe move in cycles, and history is no different. So, in our Constitutional Republic, which stage do you suppose we are in?

I’d say we are going back into bondage as our government ignores our God-given rights and perpetually and tyrannically infringe upon them.

General MacArthur observed similarly that a society, which declines morally, also declines economically and that only a spiritual awakening can turn the tide. Just like the observation made by Lord Tytler which shows to come from bondage requires great faith.

Only 20% of Israelites left Egypt in pursuit of freedom, out of bondage, a leap of faith. Only 20% of colonists wanted to liberate from England, and even fewer fought for it.

Most often, people choose safety over liberty. It’s why Benjamin Franklin warned us never to make such a trade. And yet so many have.

Similarly, to there being eight stages to democracy there are also eight steps to walking a country from democracy into communism – known because of history.

There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a socialist/communist state.

1. Healthcare: Control healthcare and you control the People.
2. Poverty: Increase the Poverty level as high as possible. Poor People are easier to control and will not fight back if the government is providing everything for them to live.
3. Debt: Increase the National Debt to an unsustainable level.” That way you can increase Taxes, and this will produce more Poverty.
4. Gun Control: Remove the ability to defend themselves from the government, that way you are able to create a police state – total local control.
5. Welfare: Take control of every aspect of their lives (food, livestock, housing, and income).
6. Education: Take control of what people read and listen to; take control of what children learn in school.
7. Religion: Remove faith in God from the government and schools.
8. Class Warfare: Divide the people into economic classes, the wealthy against the poor. Racially divide. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the full support of the voting poor.

Can it be argued that we have all eight steps happening in our country and throughout the world simultaneously? If it weren’t for governors like DeSantis, it could be argued we would already be further along.

Bureaucrats have taken control of healthcare. People are no longer allowed to make health decisions for themselves, and doctors are not allowed to make decisions for their patients. Bureaucrats do that now.

Through hyper-inflation and forcing willing-to-work Americans out of jobs because they refuse to submit to step one and hand their bodily autonomy over to Big Pharma and the government, we are well on our way to a welfare state.

With Conservative Christians labeled as domestic terrorists and the liberal media stoking the cry for guns, they are constantly trying to come for the second amendment.

Education and removing faith go hand in hand. Socialist, Marxist Antonio Gramsci said, “Socialism is precisely the religion that must overwhelm Christianity. … In the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.”

And it has. As Marxist CRT can be taught in schools, yet the Bible cannot.

And class warfare. Which has been replaced with race warfare. But the speaking points are the same. Equity. But what share of what someone else has earned is your fair share?

They are all co-dependent philosophies. Making you dependent on your neighbor and government instead of self-governance and the American Dream.

Your neighbor and government cannot make you healthy or wealthy. But they will ask you for your liberty in the exchange for the illusion of safety while promising they can care for your needs.

So how do we push back against the communists walking us into communism?

We create eight steps to freedom.

1. We take back healthcare by creating a system outside of their system of sick care.
2. We become self-reliant, we self-govern, we cut the cord with the government.
3. We take back education. If the money can’t follow the child, we homeschool.
4. We write God back in. The founding fathers mention God or the divine over 200 times in our collective state Constitutions and separation of church and state is nowhere to be found.
5. Godly principles were never intended only to remain in the confines of Church one day a week. But intended to be present and forefront in our daily lives.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.” John Adams

6. We elect representatives who will help us with these eight steps. And “We the People” do our job holding them to it, so that we never become slavish and absurd as our Tennessee Constitution would find us, ever again.
7. Gramsci said Socialism will be the religion to overwhelm Christianity. I say Christianity should be the religion to overwhelm socialism.
8. We need a revival. A great spiritual awakening. We need to be the 20%. And take a great leap of faith. And walk towards freedom, as those before us did.
