We must confidently stand firm against and wholly reject June Domestic Terrorism Month.

We recently watched culture rage against a man who gave a speech espousing views that run contrary to modern society’s narratives and hold to traditional Christian values and the created order. And I am confident that rage will continue through the month of June.

Having now experienced Government Gone Wild through the COVID plandemic, many recognize the lies that they had bought into for so long. You may have once believed that your government had your best interests in mind. You might have thought that vaccines were safe and effective and that the pharmaceutical industry was good-willed and benevolent, absent of greed and evil. You might have once thought that tolerating everyone’s beliefs no matter how dangerous, counterproductive, or contrary to truth would lead to peace and prosperity.

But those paradigms have been shattered. Your government hates you. Big Pharma will perpetuate any lie to make an obscene profit. And the lies that we’ve been sold by pop culture are destroying us, killing younger generations, and completely removing the foundational pillars of the family unit.

It is no wonder that the commencement speech given by Harrison Butker at Benedictine College was met with so much disdain. He tore down all of the idols in one fell swoop. From abortion to gay pride, government lockdowns, and our new ideas about men and women, he tore it all down. And they hate him for it.

The most interesting thing about the outrage is that Butker was not addressing culture. He was really addressing the Church. And he was admonishing the Church for its failure to adhere to its own set of values, values that should help to define the culture around it instead of allowing the Church to become subservient to the changing tides of culture.

And he was right. Indeed, the Church in and of itself is unable to reconcile truth from scripture and hold to the traditions of its own belief and creed. So many in the Church are unable to discern complementarianism (men and women are equally valued but have different roles) from egalitarianism (men and women are equally valued and can be and do all things equally).

Many in the Church have capitulated to the world determining that roles for men and women as defined throughout scripture including Paul’s writings of proper church administration and order are out of touch with modern culture and therefore not necessarily applicable to today’s brand of Christianity. But in the next breath, these same individuals will state that God’s word is inerrant, infallible, and timeless. The problem is that these ideas cannot both be true at the same time.

If the Church cannot discern through the scriptures, the truth concerning the distinct roles of men and women, then it is no wonder that the world cannot give an answer to the question, “What is a woman?” I for one am not surprised that this is where we have ended up. It is a natural progression outside of the truth.

I echo the sentiments of Mr. Butker. I would not be the man I am today and could not do the things I do without the support of my wife. But decades of feminism have worked to devalue women who assume the roles of homemakers, teachers to their children, and a support to their husbands. And certainly, a man who sees himself as a provider and head of his household is a product of the school of toxic masculinity and promotes a patriarchal society that devalues women. This, of course, is a lie and could not be a further departure from the truth.

Coming into June, now a month celebrating lies, perversion, and debauchery, people of faith have an obligation to reject the month of domestic terrorism called, pride month. Your tolerance is deadly and your silence is nothing short of a refusal to declare the truth to a dying world. You are lukewarm. You are the false teacher that scripture warns about.

If you fit in this category, this is both a call to repentance and a call to action. Our nation will not survive without strong families. And families cannot thrive without strong men to lead them and strong women to support them.

Men and women of faith must be willing to speak against the lies of LGBTQ+ propaganda and declare to our boys and girls the importance of how God created them and foster in them a strong sense of masculinity and femininity respectively. We were created with intentionality and with purpose. We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made. And no amount of pride can change the truth.

It is time to put your money where your mouth is. If you can pass by the queer children’s section and remain shopping at Target, you are the problem. If you cannot quit drinking Starbucks though they are funding free sex changes for their employees, you are the problem. If you go along with the pronouns, DEI training, and pride festivities in your workplace because you cannot risk losing your job, you are the problem. And yes, I said that out loud.

Choose this day whom you will serve. You cannot serve two masters.
